After the workshops covering the filmmaking process from story to final edit, participants form teams and have 48 hours to create a film for the Film Lab 714 Film Fest, sponsored by Filmtools.

FiLM LAB 714 is a Southern California Film Institute raising up the next generation of filmmakers. We build in person community by hosting workshops, courses, retreats, festivals and providing mentorship from real industry professionals.
Chris Falson
Chris Falson is an internationally acclaimed storyteller, producer, composer and sound designer whose credits span My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Castle, NCIS, Criminal Minds, CSI, Star Trek, NFL Football, 60 Minutes, The Late Show, and many more. Chris brings a rare blend of musical artistry, technical mastery, and cinematic storytelling to every project he touches. His custom production work has served clients including Apple, Disney, Warner Bros., Sony Studios, Paramount Pictures, PBS, MTV, and A&E.
Damian Allen
Damian is a VFX supervisor whose credits include The Amazing Spider-Man, Total Recall, After Earth, and Pixels. He trains and consults around the world at studios including Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks, Sony Pictures, and Fox Studios. His consultancy, Pixerati LLC, develops screenwriting and visual-effects software for the film industry.
Shaughn Hull
Shaughn is a Writer, Director, Cinematographer whose credits include Cinematography for the Netflix documentary, Strip Down Rise Up and the narrative feature, Jackson's Hole. He has Directed docs & commercial work for the U.S. Air Force, JSOC, Richard Nixon Foundation, University of La Verne, City of Corona, and non-profits like Stephen's Children and the Child Abuse Prevention Center. He's fascinated with Creative Non-fiction blurring the lines between documentary and narrative.
